The French president Emmanuel Macron said today that it is not good for Europe that Germany is “isolating”, showing his willingness to work closely with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
“I believe it is not good for Germany either, nor for Europe (Germany) to isolate itself,” he said as he arrived at the European summit in Brussels, which will focus on the crisis caused by rising energy prices.
Macron and Solz were due to hold talks before the start of the summit in a bid to ease the “various» between the two countries in relation to the ways of reducing the prices of natural gas and electricity.
