Emmys 2022: The best looks from the red carpet

There was no shortage of glamor at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Monday night (12), when the biggest names in television gathered on the red carpet for the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards .

With the 2020 ceremony held virtually and the decline from last year amid rising cases of Covid-19 the event returned to its usual home for the first time since 2019.

And the stars took advantage of the return to normalcy in classic silhouettes and ensembles rich in elegant details.

The red carpet turned golden for the night, and the “Severance” actor’s attendees Britt Lower to Amanda Seyfried at Armani Privé they opted for glittery or sequined ensembles to match.

Between them, lily james stood out in a Versace gown made of bronze metal mesh, while Christina Ricci stunned in a shimmering Fendi dress.

There were pastel looks, too. The star of “Yellowjackets”, Melanie Lynskey, wore a mint green tulle dress by Christian Siriano, and Ariana DeBose impressed in an ethereal lavender gown that featured a scalloped bodice and floral embellishment.

Cropped dresses have also been adopted by other celebrities. Christopher Kane’s dress Jasmin Savoy Brown and the black and ivory dress of Issa Rae offered torso flashes, while Julia Garner, who won the award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for “Ozark,” wore a Gucci gown with a striking diamond-shaped design.

Many of the men of the night opted for classic tuxedos and tailored suits (as well as a Jerrod Carmichel bare-chested). Bowen Yang and Himesh Patel brought their ensembles to life with patterned jackets, and the “Ted Lasso” star’s suit, Toheeb Jimoh had a tie hanging from his waist.

What about the unexpected masculine look of the night? All-white suits – or cream. Nicholas Braun and Andrew Garfield (in Dior Men and Zegna, respectively) were joined by Seth Rogen and John Legend to embrace the trend.
