Employee is fired after confusion involving Father Fabio de Melo in SC

An employee of a Joinville store in Santa Catarina was fired after a confusion involving Father Fabio de Melo on Tuesday (13). The reason for the conflict was due to an error in the price of the products.

THE CNN the priest said that the case occurred in the Havanna of Shopping Joinville. He would have gone to the place to buy dulce de leche, but when paying for the product saw that the price of the cashier was higher than the shelf.

When questioning the cash employee about the error, she reported that the price charged was the right one. The priest then addressed the consumer code, which says that in cases of different charges, the customer has the right to choose the lowest amount.

Given the situation the local manager was called. “This is the price, if you want to take it takes it, and if you don’t want to take it, the system doesn’t allow me to do it,” said the man after being informed of the event.

After the incident, Fabio de Melo also released a report on his networks. In the video, he states that at no time did the manager address the word directly to him, and that instead of recognizing the error questioned the employees.

He also regrets the resignation of the employee and says he believes that everyone deserves a chance to redeem himself.

In a statement, Joinville’s Havanna reports that an apology has been formalized, and that measures about this occasion are being taken in the private.

“We are taking immediate measures so that this does not happen again, and we are reviewing our internal processes to reinforce our service standards,” the company explains.
