The number of cases with errors from the recalculation of pensions is increasing, with the beneficiaries being permanently wronged. EFKA corrected such a case and paid to a retiree – former employee of EOT, an increase of 744.33 euros in the reciprocal part of her pension, according to an announcement by the United Retirement Network.
The relevant revelation was made by the United Network of Pensioners (ENDISY), noting that the correction of the amount of the main pension, shows that EFKA admits that the premium used for the recalculation, in several cases was wrong. Essentially, there is the issue of a possible miscalculation procedure for all those retirees who, in their working life, paid a premium of more than 20% (up to 32% in some cases).
From the data that have been made public, it appears that EFKA had calculated in May the said pensioner, 1,147.59 euros compensatory pension. One month later, in June, this part of the pension increased to 1,891.92 euros (increase of 744.33 euros). Thus, finally, after the deductions that the specific pension is subject to, while in May a pension of 1,225.92 euros was granted, in June the pension increased by 303.24 euros, ie to 1,529.16 euros.
ENDISY requests, in addition to the corrections in the pensions, to give the retrospectives of the recalculation error from 1/1/2019 onwards.
According to ENDISY, at least 50 other such typical cases have been sent to EFKA, all of which must be re-cleared. The Network estimates that there are approximately 600,000 beneficiaries whose pensions have been recalculated incorrectly. These categories are:
* The increase of premiums over 20% has not been calculated in the return.
* Heavy and overweight stamps have not been calculated.
* Parallel insurance. The salaries of the parallel time in the first phase of the recalculation that took place in 2019 (Law 4387/2016, Katrougalos law) have not been calculated.
* Widow’s pensions (in many cases the widow’s transfer has not been properly recalculated).
