The National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep), responsible for conducting the National High School Examination (Enem), postponed the deadline for registration for the test in 2023.
In the previous schedule, the deadline was from 8 to 19 May. With the new dates released on Tuesday (14), enrollment for the Enem will be held between June 5th and 16th. Changes to the schedule were published in the Official Gazette.
A CNN Inep confirmed the changes and stated that the determination aims to avoid clashing dates with registration for the National Examination for the Certification of Youth and Adult Skills (Encceja), which take place between May 22nd and June 2nd .
The Enem 2023 tests will be applied throughout Brazil on November 5th and 12th.
The test key will be released on November 24. Results will be released on January 16, 2024.
The Enem evaluates the school performance of students at the end of basic education. Over more than two decades of existence, it has become one of the main gateways to higher education in Brazil, through the Unified Selection System (Sisu) and initiatives such as the University for All Program (ProUni), both actions of the Ministry of Education (MEC).
