This coming Friday (26th) the deadline for requesting an exemption from paying the registration fee for taking the National High School Exam (Enem) ends. Orders must be made by Participant Pagewith the unique Gov.br login.
Students enrolled in the 3rd year of high school in 2024, in a public school, and those who completed their entire high school education in a public school or as a full scholarship holder in a private school are entitled to take the Enem for free.
Participants in the Pé-de-Meia program, from the Ministry of Education, and students from low-income families – registered in the Single Registry for federal government social programs (CadÚnico) – can also benefit.
The student who was exempt from Enem 2023, but did not attend the two days of the exam, and wants to participate in the 2024 edition for free must justify his absence. The deadline for justification also ends on April 26th.
Enem is the main gateway to higher education in Brazil, through the Unified Selection System (Sisu) and the University for All Program (Prouni).
The results of the Exam are used as a sole or complementary criterion for the selection processes, in addition to serving as a parameter for access to government aid, such as that provided by the Student Financing Fund (Fies).
