Energisa announced this Monday (31) the acquisition of Vision, a company specialized in the generation of solar energy in small plants.
The deal was carried out through Alsol, Energisa’s subsidiary dedicated to the distributed generation segment, and has a value of up to BRL 75.6 million.
With the acquisition, Energisa will be responsible for operating up to 41 generation units. This group of plants will be able to add up to 136 megawatt-peak (MWp) to Alsol’s portfolio, which currently totals 69.2 MWp.
Vision Solar offers rental of quotas in solar farms and operates in Minas Gerais, according to information available on its website.
The operation was signed last Friday (28) and its conclusion is subject to the verification of conditions precedent, such as approval by the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (Cade).
Energisa highlighted that the purchase of Vision is in line with its plan to diversify and expand into renewable energies.
“This acquisition is an important step towards Energisa’s consolidation as a platform for energy solutions for B2B customers in Brazil,” said Roberta Godoi, vice president of Energy Solutions at the company, in a statement.
Also according to the executive, Energisa also intends to leverage non-regulated businesses, with projects for centralized generation, distributed generation with other energy sources, in addition to expanding the portfolio of added services and energy trading.
