The electric company Energisa had an adjusted net profit of R$ 391.2 million in the third quarter, a decrease of 31.4% compared to the same period last year, as disclosed on Thursday night (11).
The last line of the balance sheet was affected by a worsening of the financial result, which increased 173.1% in the annual comparison, to negative R$ 950.8 million.
Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (Ebitda) rose 16.7%, totaling R$ 1.68 billion, driven by the result of the electricity transmission segment.
In a report, Energisa also highlighted the performance of its controllable operating costs, which remained below inflation for the period, down 1.9% to R$671.1 million in the quarter.
It also highlighted greater investments in the period, totaling R$ 1.82 billion, an increase of 52.5% on an annual basis.
