Energy Exchange: At 312 euros per megawatt hour the electricity tomorrow

The price of electricity in the Greek market tomorrow marks a significant increase to 312.67 euros per megawatt hour, according to the results of the previous day purchase of the Energy Exchange.

The picture is similar in most European markets. Indicatively, the price in Germany is 323.34 euros, in France 383.14 euros, in Italy 369.07 euros, in Austria 343.94 euros.

The rise in prices is attributed to market concerns over gas supplies from Russia. In Greece, the increase is attributed to the increase in demand due to the expected rise in temperature (368 gigawatt hours tomorrow from 334 today) and the decrease in the share of renewable sources that will cover 22.2% of demand tomorrow compared to 27.2% today.
