Enterprise Greece: Vivid investment interest for Greece in ‘Resort & Residential Hospitality Forum’

The participation of Enterprise Greece (Hellenic Investment and Foreign Trade Company) in the work of the Resort & Residential Hospitality Forum (R&R), in the Algarve, Portugal, on October 25-27, 2021, is considered successful.

According to a statement, this year’s conference was attended by more than 250 senior business executives from 20 countries, such as international investors (30% of participants), manufacturers, hoteliers, international chains and professionals active in the field, who had the opportunity to attend a dense program of speeches and events and network with their counterparts from many countries. There were placements of high-ranking executives of international, hotel chains and funds, who had the opportunity to analyze and develop the excellent growth prospects that exist in the Mediterranean.

Enterprise Greece coordinated a roundtable dedicated to Greece, which was attended by investors, executives of investment funds and representatives of international chains who showed a keen interest in investment opportunities in our country. Also on the roundtable were Thomas Emanuel of STR, Georgios Kaloutsakis of Hersonissos Group Hotels and Dimitris Tryfon of Charamida Investments.

During the conference, the executives of Enterprise Greece, held 15 one-on-one meetings with executives of companies from Spain, Russia, the USA, the United Kingdom, in which they had the opportunity to present the investment opportunities offered by Greece. in the sectors of tourism and real estate, but also the matchmaking services between foreign and Greek companies offered by the Organization.

The Deputy Director of Investment Attraction and Support of Enterprise Greece, Hilda Alyssandratou, focused on the dynamics that is developing in the field of tourism but also the great investment opportunities that are presented in the sector that is so important for the Greek economy. He also referred to the large number of projects that have been implemented or have already been launched, as well as the important infrastructure projects that are expected to contribute to the overall upgrade of the country as an investment destination. Ms. Alyssandratou, finally made special reference to the investment and tax framework that is being developed in the form of incentives to attract investment.

For their part, during the roundtable, the interlocutors pointed out the dynamics of the tourism industry in the post-covid era, referring to benchmarking comparative data, but stressed the need to attract high-income tourism, while also referring to the opportunities. that exist for the cooperation of Greek and foreign actors, as well as the great mobility of the tourism investment sector in our country.
