Environmental action by Attica Group

In the framework of the Responsibility program of Attica Group “SAILING TOGETHER” and with the aim of further raising awareness and contribution of Human Resources in social and environmental issues, a series of actions begins for the decontamination of the seabed and the protection of marine life in our islands the Aegean Rebreath.

The aim of the program, according to the relevant announcement, “is to infuse the value of the voluntary offer to our employees, to get closer to the local communities in which we operate, to contribute to the protection of the environment, the circular economy and the sustainable development of the islands.” for a better today and an even better tomorrow for all of us. ”

The first stop of our environmental escapes is Naxos, where on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 November, our volunteers-employees together with the volunteers of Aegean Rebreath in collaboration with the Municipality of Naxos and the Association “Wildlife Protection of Naxos” will work coordinated contributing:

– The lifting of plastics and all kinds of waste by the volunteer divers of Aegean Rebreath and Attica Group from the port of Naxos
– Subsequent transport and segregation of waste by “land” volunteers
– In the recording of the materials that will be collected
– In the cleaning of the beach and the recording of the materials that will be collected
– In sampling for the detection and collection of micro-plastics from a selected beach
– In the information – training of volunteers by Aegean Rebreath in relation to environmental issues
– In the awareness and participation of the local community and our passengers.
