A weekend of music under the volcanoes and in the middle of the sea. It is played from a caicco, surrounded by other boats. It is one of the most magical music festivals in Italy: to the Aeolian Islands, between Salina, Lipari and Panarea. The fourth edition of the Eolie Music Festival, just concluded, was a success. With an exceptional line up and an increasingly excited and loyal audience.
Off the coast of Salina and Lipari, Serena Brancale, Willie Peyote, Silent Bob & Sick Budd, Ensi & Nerone, Subsonica, Marlene Kuntz, Erlend Øye (of Kings Of Convenience), Dj Ralf and then, for the grand finale, Diodato and Elisa performed on board a legendary sailing ship.
“Artists come here because they want to be here,” Samuel Romano, the artistic director of the Festival, told us a few days before the start, «Playing and singing in this way makes you experience a very strong emotional moment. It overwhelms you». And this year too it was magic.
