Epstein’s case: Prince Andrew’s prosecutor files lawsuit in New York

Prince Andrew, who has denied the allegations, is accused in the lawsuit of “sexually assaulting” then-juvenile Jeffrey three times: in London at the home of a very close friend of Epstein, Giselle Maxwell, and on the property of a businessman in New York. and in the Virgin Islands.

“I hold Prince Andrew accountable for what he did to me. The powerful and the rich are not exempt from being accountable. “I hope that other victims will see that it is possible not to live in silence and fear.” Virginia Geoffrey said in a statement to the media.

The 61-year-old Prince Andrew had “categorically” denied these allegations in November 2019 in an interview with the BBC, which was considered disastrous. He had mainly expressed doubts about the authenticity of a well-published photo depicting him with Victoria Geoffrey, while in the background is Gislen Maxwell, who remains imprisoned in the Epstein case.

Despite his denials, the company he made with the American businessman has forced him to retire from public life.

The lawsuit was filed Monday, Monday, in federal court in Manhattan, under a New York State law on juvenile victims, passed in 2019 and initially allowed one-year appeals for charges that may have been statute-barred. The law was further extended until August 14 this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the potential victims thus have a few more days to take legal action.
