A large fire hit a gym on Avenida Washington Soares, in the Parque Manibura neighborhood, in Fortaleza (CE), this Thursday (12).
The upper part of the site was entirely compromised and several pieces of equipment were damaged. including treadmills, weight machines, air conditioning units, televisions, tables, chairs and reception desks. Windows and other materials were also consumed by the flames. See image:
The Ceará Military Fire Department (CBMCE) was called. The team controlled the fire and carried out the aftermath work to prevent reignition. There were no injuries reported.
The military reinforces the importance of preventive measures against fires in commercial establishments, such as the installation and maintenance of fire extinguishers, alarm systems and smoke detectors, in addition to providing training for employees on safety procedures.
