THE Recep Tayyip Erdogan appealed to Israel to cease hostilities in Gauzewhich he said were “tantamount to genocide” against the Palestinians.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Erdogan also stressed that Israel is provoking non-regional actors instead of correcting its mistakes in Gaza, adding that the region needs to be saved from the “frenzy of insanity” supported by Western powers and the media .
“I repeat my appeal to the Israeli leadership to never expand the scope of its attacks against civilians and to immediately end its operations that amount to genocide,” the Turkish president said.
Ankara is working to end the fighting between Israeli and Palestinian forces before it reaches “a point of no return,” he said.
