The Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdoganstated today that he desires her export of grain and from Russia and that President Vladimir Putin was right when he said yesterday, Wednesday, that grain, exported from Ukraine based on the agreement under the auspices of the UN, they go to rich and not to poor countries.
Speaking at a joint press conference with his Croatian counterpart, Erdogan said Putin was uncomfortable with grain going to countries that have imposed sanctions against Russia.
Yesterday the Russian president discussed imposing limits on Ukrainian grain exports.
Ukraine ready to export 280,000 tons of agricultural products
Its Ministry of Infrastructure Ukrainian announced that the country is ready to export 280,000 tons of agricultural products for the World Food Program (WFP) under a UN-brokered agreement.
Ukraine says, however, that some 2.37 million tons of food products have already been exported from its Black Sea ports, including 1.04 million tons to Asian countries and 470,000 tons to African states.
