THE Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that it would once again claim the post of its president Turkeyas he nominated for the upcoming presidential elections to be held in 2023.

At the same time, Erdogan reiterated that the elections will be held in mid-June 2023 and then addressed the leader of the largest opposition party, Kemal Kilicdaroglu. “Stop the evasions (…) You can no longer postpone the issue of your candidacy,” said Erdogan, who has ruled Turkey continuously since 2003, first as prime minister and then as president.
THE opposition coalition, consisting of six partieshas not yet nominated its candidate in the presidential election.
