THE Recep Tayyip Erdogan, marking the 20th of July “Day of Peace and Freedom”, announced that he will go for two days to Cyprus to support his “brothers”.
Referring to the events of 1974, the Turkish President stressed that he would send a message to the whole world that Turkey supports the Turkish Cypriots.
According to Manolis Kostidis, SKAI’s correspondent in Istanbul, he announced his program for July 19-20.
“On the day of our religious holiday, we hope to be at ‘TRNC’ for ‘Peace and Freedom Day’ on July 20th. With God’s help, we hope to go to ‘Northern Cyprus’ on Thursday and be there on Friday and return on Friday afternoon. We will spend the first day of our religious holiday with our ‘Cypriot’ brothers and we will participate in the ceremonies of the 20th of July. Therefore, I believe that we will send a message to the world that we support the ‘TRNC’ in the strongest way in the search for rights and justice “.
