Erdogan: I will invite Putin to discuss solutions for Crimea, Donbass with Zelensky

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said on Friday that he would invite his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to enter into a dialogue with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to find a solution to the thorny issue of pro-Russian or pro-Russian forces. namely the Crimea and the Donbas region.

Speaking to reporters in Istanbul, Mr. Erdogan noted that he would contact Vl. Putin at 4 pm Greek time and will reiterate his proposal to host the heads of state of Russia and Ukraine on Turkish soil for peace talks.

More specifically, he noted that Mr. Zelensky is warm in such a perspective, as was evident from the telephone contact that the two men had on Thursday, as reported by Reuters.

Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said his country would be grateful to Turkey if it managed to host a meeting of Russian and Ukrainian leaders.
