Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Friday that he planned to hold telephone conversations with Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky in the coming days, adding that he hoped the talks could lead to a meeting of Turkish leaders in Turkey. -Ukraine, Reuters reported.

“We are not without hope,” Erdogan told reporters when asked about peace talks between Kiev and Moscow. “Our friends will contact them today, we intend to have another telephone conversation with (Russian President Vladimir) Putin and (Ukrainian President Volodymyr) Zelensky today or tomorrow,” he said.
“With the phone calls, we plan to take the process to Istanbul at the leadership level,” he added.
