The change of status in Jerusalem with the creation of a new administration was proposed on Monday (17/5) by the Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Speaking at a press conference at the Presidential Palace in Ankara, Erdogan suggested that “Turkey will support both steps in this direction, both politically and militarily,” according to the Daily Sabah.
“Israel is a terrorist state trying to legitimize its actions in reference to the Palestinian resistance,” he said, condemning Israel’s attacks on the Al-Aqsa Mosque and its indiscriminate bombing of the area.
Earlier, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, as broadcast by APE-MPE, accused his American counterpart Joe Biden that “He has his hands stained with blood” with the support it provides to Israel as the Jewish state continues its heavy bombardment of the Gaza Strip.
“You write history with hands stained with blood”, Erdogan criticized the US government, especially for approving the sale of new weapons systems to Israel, which “launches disproportionate attacks on the Gaza Strip.”
He also called Israel a “killer” of Palestinians of all ages.
