Erdogan – Sinan Ogan meeting in Istanbul against the background of the repeat Turkish elections

THE Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with Sinan Ogan in Istanbul to discuss the replays Turkish elections which will take place in a short time, since he was not elected president in the first meeting.

According to the Turkish agency Anatoliathe meeting lasted an hour, while the two politicians did not make statements.

In fact, the Turkish nationalist Sinan Ogan who came third in the first round and does not participate in the second, met earlier with Kemal Kilicdaroglu. The discussion took place in a calm and friendly atmosphere, but without any result.

It is recalled that with based on Politico, the gap between ErdoÄŸan and KılıçdaroÄŸlu may seem unbridgeable, but it will be decided to some extent by who the third candidate Sinan OÄŸan will support, who received 5.20%. The nationalist and former MP has yet to make it clear who he prefers and so far it’s anyone’s guess. On the one hand, it has strongly criticizes Erdogan for his foreign policy decisions, on the other hand disagrees with the Kurds, who have been asked to support Kilicdaroglu.

Analysts argue that he will not remain neutral in the second round, but some believe that Erdogan can build on his support, in two ways. Either, Sinan Ogan will convince his voters to support AKP, or he will support Kilicdaroglu, creating tremors in his alliance because of his positions.
