Erdogan said the evacuation of the wounded and civilians in Mariupol, Ukraine, must be ensured, adding that Turkey views the issue of acting as a mediator in the negotiations positively in principle. Ukraine sought security guarantees from several countries during negotiations with Russia.
Zelensky and Erdogan discussed the need for immediate evacuation of civilians from the port city of Mariupol, including the Russian-surrounded but Ukrainian-controlled Azovstal factory, and the exchange of Ukrainian troops stationed at the factory.
US secretaries to visit Kiev
