Erdogan: The removal of mayors and replacement with “commissioners” will now be rarely done

In a speech to MPs from the ruling AKP party in parliament, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said today that politicians would begin to hold talks on issues that are just pending as soon as the Kurdistan Labor Party (PKK) is pending. The Turkish president expressed his conviction that Turkey’s practice would appoint “commissioners” to replace elected mayors would rarely occur if the PKK is dissolved.
