Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan conveyed to his Kazakh counterpart Kasim Jomart Tokayev the message that Turkey stands in solidarity with Kazakhstan in the midst of the uprising that has erupted in the former Soviet republic.
According to a statement from the Turkish presidency, during a meeting between the two leaders, Erdogan told Tokayev that Turkey was closely monitoring developments and would offer “any form of technical information and experience” if needed. The Turkish president expressed hope that tensions would ease and a new government would be formed as soon as possible, he added.
Erdogan also discussed developments with the leaders of Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan and said he believed the crisis should be resolved through dialogue, the Turkish presidency said.
