Eric Balchunas’ statement was confirmed by sources in two potential Ethereum ETF issuers. One of them added that all documents must be submitted by the end of the day on July 17:
“The SEC has asked issuers to return final Form S-1s by Wednesday and then request that they become effective on Monday, after the close of trading, for a launch on Tuesday, July 23.”
Recall that in May, the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved Forms 9b-4 from applicants. However, to start trading ETF on ether, the regulator must approve Forms S-1.
Earlier, Bloomberg ETF analyst James Seyffart said that spot Ethereum exchange-traded funds could expect investment demand up to a quarter of that of Bitcoin crypto funds.
