Erica Ash actress known for her role in the film “Scary Movie 5” (2013) and in the series “Real Husbands of Hollywood” (2013-2016) died on Sunday (28). The information was announced by the artist’s mother in a statement obtained by CNN this Monday (29). Erica was 46 years old.
According to Diann Ash’s statement, Erica died on Sunday after a “long and courageous battle with cancer.”
“We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved daughter, sister and friend Erica Chantal Ash,” the actress’ mother said in a statement. “Erica was an incredible woman and talented artist who touched countless lives with her sharp wit, humor and genuine zest for life. Her memory will live forever in our hearts.”
Erica Ash had a decades-long career in comedy films and television, but she was best known for her role as Bridgette Hart in the parody series “Real Husbands of Hollywood,” in which she appeared for four seasons. Her career also took off thanks to her role as Kendra Brooks in the fifth film in the horror satire franchise “Scary Movie.”

She also starred in the series “In Contempt,” a legal drama in which she played a lawyer named Gwen Sullivan. Her final acting credit, according to IMDb, was earlier this year, when she appeared in an episode of the NBC sitcom “Extended Family.”
“Erica was talented and hilarious,” comedian Loni Love wrote on her X Twitter account on Monday. “She was all about her work. She was always there… now she’s gone… My deepest condolences to her family.”
