Ersin Tatar: No common ground has been found for the resumption of talks on the Cyprus issue

UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres met with Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar at the headquarters of the international organization in New York. In a conversation he had with the correspondents, he said that Antonio Guterres confirmed to him that no common ground has yet been found for the resumption of talks on the Cyprus issue. “The three months of talks of the personal envoy of the Secretary General, Maria Angela Holgin, have been completed. It started on January 5th, it has visited us twice in these three months. He will come again in May. She is a very determined lady who is still investigating whether there is common ground or not and the UN Secretary General has confirmed that there is still no indication that there is going to be common ground.
