Pakistan has announced that retaliation was launched following charges against India for launching rockets from fighter aircraft against three military bases, marking a serious escalation in the ongoing collision between the two nuclear equipped neighbors. Pakistani Army spokesman Ahmed Sarif Chondri said India had fired six land-air missiles targeting the bases of Nour Han, Murid and Sorkot, one of Pakistan’s most important, early Saturday morning. According to him, most of the rockets were intercepted by Pakistani air defense. Shortly thereafter, Pakistani officials confirmed that they had begun their counterattack against India as part of the business called Bunyan Ul Marsoos, a phrase from the Koran translated as a “pencil wall”.
