Especially for Russia: new OS for LG smart TVs and Magic Remote

LG Electronics Russian version of webOS 6.0 and Magic Remote. LG’s new 2021 smart TVs have an updated webOS 6.0 user interface and a dedicated Magic Remote with new features.

webOS 6.0 brings a redesigned home screen, improved performance and faster access to various applications. The developers have improved the search for content in Russian, using artificial intelligence functions, as well as personal recommendations for films and TV series.

The new line of LG TVs contains a complete list of mandatory Russian programs, and the default browser uses the domestic search engine Yandex.

For owners of LG TVs with a resolution of 8K, there is an opportunity to watch movies in 8K resolution in the Megogo application. As noted by LG, in the near future, other online cinemas will provide their collections in 8K.

Much attention in the new version of webOS 6.0 is paid to voice control in Russian. By adding a TV to the ThinQ smart home system, users will be able to control it using voice commands for Alice: via a smartphone and smart speakers with Yandex voice assistant.

Magic Remote allows you to give voice control and search commands directly through the microphone built into the remote control. In 2021, the Magic Remote received a new design and improved navigation using the Magic Wheel, as well as the ability to pair the TV with the LG ThinQ smart home system using NFC.

In addition, all control panels for LG TVs running webOS 6.0 have buttons for quick access to popular online cinemas: Ivi, Okko, Kinopoisk HD, as well as a button for launching the LG Cinema Premieres recommendation service.
