Kansas City Fed Chairman Esther George told Reuters on Friday that there was “no doubt” that the US job market was “tight”, adding that he would look carefully at how wage pressures and expectations for inflation as it tries to assess how close the economy is to the Fed’s goal of full employment
“We are in a tight job market today,” Esther George said at the start of an Fed energy conference shortly after the Labor Department released data. the US economy added another 531,000 jobs last month, following a revised September increase of 312,000 from 194,000 initially.
