Russia continues to move troops to the border with Ukraine and is likely to launch a “limited-scale” military offensive against the country, according to the head of Estonia’s intelligence service.
The attack could include rocket fire and the seizure of “significant” territory in Ukraine, said Mick Maran, the director general of the Estonian service.
“At the moment, our estimate is that they (the Russians) would avoid cities with large populations, because they need too many soldiers to control these areas. But there is no clear idea of which route the Russian troops can take.” Maran told reporters at a news conference he gave to present the service’s annual report.
