Ukraine will join the NATO Center for Cooperative Cyber Defense Excellence (CCDCOE) as a “cooperating party”, the Tallinn-based research institute in Estonia announced today.
“Ukraine will bring valuable first-hand knowledge of various cyber rivals, which will be used for research, exercises and training,” the center’s director said in a statement posted on his website.
The CCDCOE will benefit from Ukraine’s “valuable experience” from previous cyberattacks, Colonel Yaak Tarien added.
Ukraine will be accepted as a cooperating party after, in a letter, it expressed its interest in joining the CCDCOE. Tarien noted that the Center has already accepted other countries that are not members of NATO.
