In this way, ETAD utilizes an emblematic property after many years of wear and tear, proceeding through electronic electronic bidding (e-auction) to its long-term lease for thirty (30) years with the possibility of extension for twenty (20) additional years, with the offer increased by 55% from the starting price.
The purpose of the lease is to reopen it as a modern hotel unit that will contribute to the tourist development of Edessa and the wider region of Central Macedonia. Specifically, the investment proposal, amounting to over € 3,500,000, includes the reconstruction and operation of a hotel unit of at least 4 *, with a capacity of 40 rooms, with restaurant, gym, spa, indoor and outdoor pool.

The property is developed in an area of 7,907.47 sq.m., in which there is a two-storey building, with a total area of 4,135.49 sq.m. It is located in central parts of Edessa at 35 Filippou Avenue, in the area “Paradise” and specifically at the edge of the city hill, which gives the property unrestricted views.
Xenia Edessa was built in 1963 by the architect Jason Rizo (with additions made in 1998), is located near the Kaimaktsalan Ski Center, Lake Agra and the traditional settlement of Ag. Athanasios. Its proximity to many tourist attractions makes it an important tourist destination.
