Ethanol price rises in 14 states and the Federal District, says ANP

The average prices of hydrous ethanol fell in 9 states, rose in another 14 states and in the Federal District and remained stable in Bahia (R$ 3.92%), last week, ended on Saturday (22) according to a survey by the AgĂȘncia National Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) compiled by AE-Taxas.

There was no survey in AmapĂĄ. In Roraima, the average quotation was R$ 4.81 per liter, but in the previous week there was no reference for comparison.

At the stations surveyed by the ANP across the country, the average price of ethanol rose 2.31% in the week compared to the previous week, from R$3.46 to R$3.54 per liter.

In SĂŁo Paulo, the main producer and consumer state with more stations evaluated, the average price rose 3.28% in the week, reaching R$ 3.46 compared to R$ 3.35 a liter in the previous 7 days.

Rio Grande do Norte recorded the biggest percentage drop in prices in the week, of 2.94%, from R$ 4.42 to R$ 4.29. Mato Grosso was the state with the biggest price advance in the week, 3.99%, from R$ 3.01 to R$ 3.13 a liter.

The minimum price recorded in the week for ethanol at a service station was R$ 2.89 a liter, in Mato Grosso, and the lowest state average price, of R$ 3.13, was also registered in Mato Grosso.

The maximum price, R$ 6.90 a liter, was verified at gas stations in Rio Grande do Sul. The highest state average price, R$ 4.81, was observed in Roraima.

In the monthly comparison, the average price of biofuel in the country rose 3.21%. The state with the highest percentage increase in the period was SĂŁo Paulo, with an increase of 6.46%. The highest percentage drop occurred in Acre (-24.64%).
