Ethanol rises in 14 states and in the DF, shows ANP; national average increases 1.32%

Average prices for hydrated ethanol rose in 14 states and the Federal District and fell in 11 others last week, which ended on Saturday (19) according to a survey by the National Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels Agency (ANP) compiled by AE-Taxas. In Amapá there was no investigation.

In stations surveyed by the ANP throughout the country, the average price of ethanol rose 1.32% in the week compared to the previous week, from R$ 3.79 to R$ 3.84 per liter.

In São Paulo, the main producing and consuming state and with the most gas stations evaluated, the average quotation rose 23.12% in the week, reaching R$ 4.58 against R$ 3.72 per liter in the previous seven days.

Paraná recorded the biggest percentage drop in prices in the week, 17.59%, from R$ 4.15 to R$ 3.42.

Amazonas was the state with the biggest increase in prices in the week, 38.56%, from R$ 3.76 to R$ 5.21 per liter.

The minimum price recorded in the week for ethanol at a station was R$ 3.14 per liter, in Pernambuco, and the lowest state average price, R$ 3.42, was registered in Paraíba.

The maximum price, R$ 6.97 per liter, was verified at gas stations in Rio Grande do Sul. And the highest state average price, R$ 5.21, was observed in Amapá.

In the monthly comparison, the average price of biofuel in the country rose 10.98%. The state with the highest percentage increase in the period was Mato Grosso, with 46.18% increase in the period. The greatest percentage drop occurred in Rio Grande do Norte (-14.83%).
