The EU Commissioner for Health and Food Safety will cross the Polish-Ukrainian border on Monday (March 7th).
Ms. Kyriakidou will have meetings with representatives of local authorities at the Medica border crossing, on the Polish-Ukrainian border, while both there and during her visit to the regional hospital, she will be accompanied by Polish Health Minister Adam Nidzilski.
“As the humanitarian situation in Ukraine deteriorates and neighboring countries, including Poland, welcome Ukrainians fleeing their country, the European Union is working on all fronts to provide emergency cross-border assistance to both Ukraine and its neighbors, with “Health should be a key priority”, stressed Ms. Kyriakidou.
