European diplomat Kaya Callas is going to Israel and Palestinian territories tomorrow, Monday, to call for a “immediate return” to the ceasefire agreement, its services said today. Ms Calas will meet in succession with Israeli and Palestinian authorities and is expected to “call for immediate return to the full implementation of the ceasefire and release of hostages”. He also wants to “remind the importance of unhindered access” to humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip. He is expected to meet in Israel with President Isaac Hertzog, Foreign Minister Gideon Saar, and opposition leader Yair Lapid. On the Palestinian side, he will see the president of the Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Mohammed Mustafa.
