The President of France Emanuel Macron had a telephone conversation with the President of Bulgaria Rumen Radev and the Prime Minister of Northern Macedonia Dimitar Kovachevski on Monday.
As announced by the Champs Elysees, these contacts were made in the context of the efforts made by the French Presidency of the Council of the EU to resolve the differences between the two countries and to specify the European perspective of Northern Macedonia.
The French president stressed that he is in favor of an agreement between the two countries that will contribute to the establishment of good neighborly relations and respect for the rights of citizens who claim to belong to different communities or minorities.
The French president said he was willing to receive the political leaders of the two countries in Paris when a bilateral agreement is possible.
