EU sets provisional tariffs on aluminum products from China – Reuters

European Commission imposes provisional tariffs on China’s aluminum rolled productsReuters reports, citing the official gazette of the European Union (EU) on Monday.

This occurs after an initial investigation found that Chinese goods were being sold on the block at artificially low prices.

Additional details:

“The European Commission has established tariffs between 19.3% and 46.7%“.

The anti-dumping duties, which take effect on Tuesday, will be applied while the investigation continues.. It is expected to conclude in October, when rates can be set for five years ”.

“The investigation was launched after a complaint from the European Aluminum trade association, whose members include Norsk Hydro and Elvalhalcor.”
