European electric crossover with a range of 300 km for 12,000 euros. Dacia Spring is getting ready to launch in Europe

In October last year, Renault showed the Dacia Spring electric car, which supposedly would have cost about 10,000 euros.

In fact, the Dacia Spring is an electric version of the restyled Indian Renault Kwid model that blew up the local market with its ultra-low price tag (under $ 4,000).

Be that as it may, now it became known how much the Dacia Spring will actually cost in Europe. In particular, the price for France is 17,000 euros for the basic version, but thanks to subsidies, buyers will eventually get the car for only 12,400 euros. It’s a little more expensive than expected, but it’s still a very, very interesting proposal. It is also worth noting that subsidies are different in different countries, so prices may differ in one direction or another. Pre-orders will begin to be accepted on March 20, but the first deliveries are expected only in the fall.

It also became known what exactly the buyers of the new car will receive. The Dacia Spring will be available in two trim levels: Confort and Confort Plus. The former offers air conditioning, a basic audio system without a large screen, and LED daytime running lights. The second modification already includes a seven-inch display of the multimedia system, another steering wheel, a rear-view camera and a number of other options. Apparently, there are no differences in the battery and the engine.

At the same time, with a modest battery with a capacity of 26.8 kWh, the manufacturer promises a cruising range of 230 km (WLTP) or 305 km (WLTP City).

Separately, it is worth noting two configurations Business and Cargo. The first is focused on the commercial segment and carsharing, and the second is distinguished by the absence of rear seats, which gives 1,100 liters of luggage space.
