European Parliament’s anti-Turkey report frustrates Celik: “It’s unreal”

His report emptying the European Parliament of Turkeyirritated the representative of Erdogan’s party, Omer Celikwho blamed Greece and said it was an “unrealistic” report.

Celik argued that the European Parliament relied on Greek positions on the Eastern Mediterranean, the Aegean and Cyprus.

Typically the representative of his party Erdogan “If the European Parliament wants to prepare a serious report on Turkey, it must include why the promises made by the EU to Turkey have not been kept,” he said. The European Parliament should propose a dialogue on Turkey based on democratic solidarity and pact and faith instead of selfish policies.

Our President often expresses in detail the promises that the European Union has made and does not keep to Turkey. The selfish policies of the EU institutions that do not keep their promises must be the European Parliament’s priority agenda.

The European Parliament has once again prepared a report on Turkey that is unrealistic and irresponsible. “They showed an approach based on Greek views on the issues of the Eastern Mediterranean, the Aegean and Cyprus.”
