The tragedy in Tempi will go down in history as the deadliest railway accident in Greek territory. The images of utter devastation, with the parts of the two trains that collided turned into a shapeless mass of ironwork and dismembered or even disfigured bodies among them, will remain deeply etched in the memory of all of us.
