Unemployment in Greece fell by 4.2 points in April, according to Eurostat data.
Specifically, unemployment in April 2022 rose to 12.7% compared to 16.9% in April 2021.
Between March and April 2022 there was, according to Eurostat, a small increase of 0.5 points (to 12.7% versus 12.2%).
However, the same phenomenon, ie a small increase in the same period (March-April) occurred in 2021 and 2020, indicating that it may be due to seasonal reasons.
According to ELSTAT, unemployment in April 2021 rose to 17.5% compared to 16.8% in March 2021. Also in April 2022 it rose to 15.8% compared to 15.7% in March 2022.
According to Eurostat, unemployment among young people under 25 fell to 36.8% in April 2022 compared to 47.7% in April 2021, although compared to March 2022 it increased by 10.8 points.
