We are all good with other people’s Eurovision but, when it’s our turn, we just can’t seem to be able not to give breath to criticism even when they have no reason to exist. The one that crowded social media in a somewhat unfair way at the time of the first of the two semifinals of this Eurovision edition, broadcast live on Rai1 and streaming on RaiPlay and returned to Italy 31 years after the last time, was a: the comment by Cristiano Malgioglio, Carolina Di Domenico and Gabriele Corsi during the evening, a way to guide the story and allow those who do not know English to be able to follow the interventions of the conductors and the announcements given during the live broadcast in a clear way.
Gabriele Corsi and Carolina Di Domenico
Stefania D’AlessandroLeaving aside the fact that the comment proposed by Rai1 was complete and pleasantperfect for framing Eurovision in the best possible way even for those who have never followed the event – Carolina Di Domenico, a talent that the Public Service should value more, and Gabriele Corsi are the most institutional, while Cristiano Malgioglio is the ” groupie »passionate -, I’m really sorry to have seen so much poison against three professionals who were there doing their job. Above all because it was enough to inquire to discover that RaiPlay offered users the possibility of following the semifinal both with Italian and English commentary.

It was enough to enter the platform and select the most appropriate mode of use. This time too, however, it was decided to shoot zero on everything and everyone because la lagna has become the most prevalent stylistic code on today’s social networks, a way to vent who knows what unspoken frustrations that finds as an outlet to anything that, for whatever reason, seems to get on our nerves – let’s not talk about those who have criticized the limited space reserved for conductors Laura Pausini, Alessandro Cattelan and Mika, since all Eurovision fans know that their role has always been of guides and not of showmen -. In short, especially at a time when we should all spend a little bit for dialogue, keeping away from judgments and sentences, the controversy surrounding Rai commentators was, alas, yet another lost opportunity.
