They took to that stage in 2015 by placing third behind Russia and Sweden, and now, seven years later, the three guys from Il Volo are ready to return to the Eurovision Song Contest no longer as competitors, but as super-guests. Piero Barone, Gianluca Ginoble and Ignazio Boschetto will perform, in fact, in Turin during the second semifinal of Thursday 12 Mayproposing the very song that they brought to Vienna and that allowed them to win the Sanremo Festival: Great lovewhich, to be honest, at Eurovision won first place in televoting.

Their performance was the most popular of the evening, proof of the enthusiasm and affection of the Eurovision audience towards three great ambassadors of Italian music in the world in full swing. After the boom in 2009, the exhibition alongside great artists such as Barbra Streisand and Placido Domingo and performances in temples of music such as Radio City Music Hall in New York, Il Volo continues to reap acclaim and take home more than one success: together with third place in Sanremo in 2019, their latest album, The Sings Morricone Flightconfirms a success across the board.

From 15 May Il Volo will resume the world tour that will leave Barcelona and will see him protagonist in the most prestigious European locations throughout the summer and then, from September, in Canada and North America. Meanwhile, the wait to see them at Eurovision which, we recall, will be broadcast on Rai1 on 10 and 12 May (with the two semifinals) and on 14 May with the grand finale with the conduct of Laura Pausini, Alessandro Cattelan and Mika si gets bigger and bigger.
