Eva Kailis, Vice-President of the European Parliament

Eva Kailis, PASOK MEP of the Movement for Change and the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament, was elected Vice-President of the European Parliament.

Gathering 454 votes, Eva Kaili secured her election from the first round, in fifth place, by the nine MEPs. With the holding of the 2nd round, the Vice Presidents who are expected to be elected, will reach 14.

Eva Kaili said: “I would like to warmly thank my colleagues from all EU countries and most of the parties that have shown me the confidence to represent them from the position of Vice-President of the European Parliament. It is a great honor for me and for my country Greece, and I will work even harder to cope ”

“Congratulations Eva Kailis for your election! For the first time since 2014, our Movement will have a Vice President of the European Parliament. Good luck in your new duties!” wrote on social media the President of PASOK – Movement for Change, Nikos Androulakis.
