EVEA: The prospects for the cooperation of Greek and Saudi companies are important

Important prospects for bilateral cooperation emerged from the contacts made by the representatives of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the governmental and business mission to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (12-14.03.2022).

This conclusion is highlighted in today’s announcement of the chamber regarding the active participation of EVEA in the mission.

More specifically, EVEA was represented by Dimitrios Dimitriou, member of the Board of Directors of EVEA and head of Business Advisory Support, as well as Haris Lambropoulos, president of the Hellenic Development Investment Bank (EATE, TANEO of EAS) and member of DASE.

The representatives of EVEA participated in the Greek-Saudi Arabian Investment Forum held in Riyadh, with the presence of important ministers of both countries and the participation of many Greek companies from the sectors of construction, shipping, tourism, pharmaceutical industry, energy, cybersecurity, banks, etc.

In particular, Mr. Dimitriou participated as a coordinator in the panel for construction and Real Estate. With the presence of distinguished Greek construction companies, the panel addressed the business opportunities that exist in Saudi Arabia, the possibilities of consortium and cooperation in the region, as well as the future challenges for owners and project developers.

For his part, Mr. Lambropoulos participated as a coordinator in the panel on energy on “Energy Transition: Unlocking the Promise of Renewable Energy Sources and Hydrogen”. The discussion focused on the prospects of economic and business cooperation between the two countries in the field of hydrogen energy production. It is a sector with multiple opportunities, as it includes its production, transportation and storage, and this requires investments in industrial ports, storage infrastructure, fuel cell technology and much more.
