For a long time, Google regularly published information about the popularity of various versions of the Android operating system, but at some point the search giant stopped doing this. Uptodown has published its own data on how different versions of Android are doing.
Uptodown is a third-party Android app store with over 130 million monthly active users worldwide. Among Uptodown users, the year before last, Android 11 ranks first with a market share of 29.5%. Next comes the even older Android 10 with a score of 25.2%.

Third place goes to Android 9 Pie with 11.5%, followed by Android 8.1 Oreo with 11%. The latest Android 12 is currently installed on just 2.6% of user devices. She only ranks fifth.
Uptodown also provided information about its users’ device manufacturers and most used browsers. According to Uptodown, Samsung holds more than 31% of the market, followed by China’s Xiaomi, Huawei, Oppo and Vivo.

Chrome is the most used browser with 83% share. Second place is held by the Samsung browser with a share of only 5%.
