Now there is information about the creation of a completely new type of channel, which will be called Stage Channel. This was reported by Arol Wright, an XDA developer, on Reddit. The programmer claims that he got beta access to the new feature on Discord.
According to the developer, the new system will be linked to the existing text, voice and news channels. It will be an enhanced application for a wider audience. In the Stage Channel, separate rooms will be created in which several presenters can have a conversation, and authorized users will have the right to join the discussion, and not just listen to it. However, in the Clubhouse the same principle of work.
At the moment, a new Discord feature is in development, it is not yet ready for active use. However, given the speed at which Clubhouse is popularizing, there is no doubt that the Discord team is hard at work on the new program. Perhaps, users will soon see the announcement of the Stage Channel.
